reddit.com is a 'social news' website, but that basically means we let our readers determine what goes where on the front page. They do this by submitting interesting links and voting the good ones up (and the worst ones down). Since Steve and Alexis started it in a Medford, MA apartment after graduating college, the site has grown quite a bit and our alien mascot needs to help pay the bills. Hence the merch you see below. Buying some is not only a great way to look awesome, but it pays for our servers and keeps reddit fast, fresh, and free!
All reddit shirts are American Apparel brand, 100% cotton, and will make you look both sexy and socially responsible (made in sweatshop-free downtown LA). They do run a bit smaller than other tees, so check the male and female sizing charts.
Do you have the winter blues? Or cold ears? Or just an overwhelming need to look devilishly good-looking sporting a fancy reddit chullo hat? The new reddit Snoo hat of lore will be shipping in mid-February. The hats are hand knit in Nepal using 100% New Zealand wool. They are water-resistant and self-cleaning. A special thanks to the wonderful chocholina for her help making these a reality!
Thanks guys. We're so happy that you like the hats. The demand for this has been great, and we've run out of hats at the moment. Check back for other limited edition items.
One size fits most. Brim circumference is 66 cm with crown 19.5 cm deep. Flaps extend 10 cm and are 16 cm wide at the base of the cap and narrow down into 1 cm where they terminate in a fetching toggle-type structure.
When reddit user, unfortunatejordan, created a comic how-to guide for reddit, we knew we had to create an epic full-blown poster to showcase the incredible map of reddit communities featured in one of its panels. (View the comic here.)
Since reddit is constantly changing and there are just too many awesome subreddits to count, this poster is limited to a mere 300. However, we'd love to know about what communities you'd like to see in a future version 2 product.
Due to popular demand, the orangered envelope shirt is now available in a sexy black tee. Because black is the new powder blue and flatters nearly every shape, you can't go wrong with this fashionable unisex tee.
The perfect shirt for any redditor, especially one who fondly remembers videogames before things like "bullet time" or "regenerating health bars" and when "massively multiplayer" meant inviting over all your friends.
Back in 2005, this was the very first design for a reddit shirt. At the time, its "vintage look" was delightfully ironic; six years later, we're just amazed the site is still around.
This also happens to be our first shirt without the word "reddit" anywhere on it. This way people won't think you're bad at spelling and might even ask what that happy alien-bug-thing is all about.
We're so impressed with our community that we asked reddit to create the concept (not because we're lazy) and partnered with Crowdspring to produce the final product (OK, maybe a little lazy). After all the up-votes were counted, this reddit crest was the winner. The community chose everything from the design (down to the individual symbols) to the shirt color. If you're a true redditor, you'll surely recognize the narwhals, bacon, orangered envelope, and look of disapproval.
The winning designer, a redditor named licenseplate, did a fantastic job. We've got a feeling we'll be seeing more of her work in the future.
Our long-disputed and long-revered mystical orangered envelope can now be with you all day long - constantly reminding you to check your reddit messages. Warning: people may try and click on you.
This was a shirt we designed with your input and our own obsessiveness led us to match the RGB values to their closest Pantone counterpart. Well, is it orange or red?
Back after a multi-year hiatus, we once again bring you the pink reddit shirt. Are you man enough to wear it? Are you woman enough to prove that yes, there really ARE girls on the internet?
Bonus: This is the only reddit t-shirt with the alien wearing the shirt on the shirt. How meta can we be?
There comes a time in every youngster's life when it is time to acknowledge who they are. While reddit may not be just about memes, it has certainly played a part in creating or popularizing a whole lot of them! This beautiful 20.58x14 attoParsec* piece of art (see it bigger), created by our very own licenseplate, can now cover that hole ceiling cat has been using, giving you hours of fun trying to find all the memes (can you find the more than 9000?)!
*that's 25x17 inches for you Americans
It started with a design contest for a new shirt. The resulting reddit coat of arms shirt has been a big hit. So much so, that we were getting requests to put the design on posters. Well, here you go! Impress guests with your Internet family's traditional coat of arms. This 25x17 inch* marvel is guaranteed to scare away evil spirits and attract cute members of the opposite (or same!) sex, just like a puppy.
*that's ~1.39 x .94 cubits for you really old people out there.
A while back, we had postcards depicting this scene. We'd throw them in as bonuses on large merch orders or hand them out at events, you know the deal. The feedback was overwhelming: "Make it a poster!" You want it, you got it. Now you can show your support for reddit (and evolution) by slapping this 25x17 inch* piece of beauty onto the wall of your home, dorm room, or maternity ward.
*that's 63x48 cm for you socialists out there
Remember this thread? With this poster, you can relive it every time you look up at your wall/ceiling/classroom. After the launch of Cuil, a redditor named RedDyeNumber4 crafted this robust theory for explaining the levels of abstraction away from the reality of a situation (known as the unit "Cuil"). This poster is nice and big (27x39.5 inches) to impress visitors with its grandeur. You ask me for a hamburger...
